MeDaPro - The PIM-System

With a product information management PIM, you can quickly and easily create catalogs in a wide variety of publication forms. The idea: The data is only maintained in one place in the company and is therefore always up-to-date. Whether electronic catalogues, an internet shop or the classic paper catalogue, central data storage saves you time and money and you always have access to the most up-to-date database.

Use existing sources of information - old data and ERP system

Of course you can use your existing data: Various import options - from the formats csv and xls to mdb to electronic catalogs such as BMEcat - enable the convenient transfer of product information that has already been created or complete supplier data. In addition, you can connect MeDaPro to your ERP system. In this way, new articles with the desired information can be transferred directly without additional manual effort being required for the transfer. This is done with the MeDaPro ERP connector.

Maintain data centrally & classify

Once created, all product information - from the item description to the operating instructions - can be maintained in MeDaPro. A series of features simplifies your work: inheritance of item information, creation of feature lists for item groups and sophisticated rights management allow use even in complex corporate structures. Classification is also possible: MeDaPro offers a comfortable classification browser to classify articles according to ecl@ss, proficl@ss, UNSP/SC and ETIM. Customer-specific classification systems can also be integrated. The classification mapper also allows you to assign your product data to the standard ecl@ss feature lists.

Create Catalogs

Catalogs that you create from MeDaPro can contain customer-specific assortments or the entire delivery spectrum. Compose your selection simply by drag & drop. When mapping - linking the content from the MeDaPro database with the selected catalog format - you can then very flexibly determine the arrangement of the information in your catalogue. In this way you not only create paper catalogues, but also electronic catalogues, such as BMEcat or a catalog for the Internet shop TradePro.

Electronic catalogs in flexible formats - from the central database in MeDaPro, you can quickly and comfortably create electronic catalogs - whether for direct electronic trade between two business partners or for marketplaces and purchasing portals. Electronic catalogs can be used in different ways, depending on the requirements of the target platform MeDaPro formats are created: BMecat, Excel, Access and various XML and text formats are available.

About the different import modules can be integrated in MeDaPro . Master data from the ERP system as well as specific price and article information can supplement and specify this data. The graphical export assist helps when assigning the information to the selected target format. For example, when creating a BMecat, the must and can distinguish fields. The user is routed from start to finish by the process of cataloging.

itb is the certification partner of the benet. Thanks to this partnership, the ITB can check its electronic catalogs in the BMecat format as a service. After examination, the certificate will be issued by the BMenet (a 100% subsidiary of the BME).

Quality according to standard - certification and classification

itb is certification partner of the BME and can officially certify your catalogs. In addition, Catalogs can also be created in MeDaPro based on the known classifications ECL @ SS, ProfiCl @ SS, UNSP / SC and ETIM. The confirmation structure of the selected classification is then filled with its own article data - if provided with the corresponding information.

The goal: marketplaces, internet shop or ERP

And how does the electronic catalog go to your customer? Depending on the format, it can be sent by e-mail or set in an electronic marketplace. As catalog for the Internet-Shop TradePro, your range can also be provided as your personal shopping environment on the Internet and are coupled to the SAP purchasing systems of your customers. The graphical import and export interfaces allow easy configuration for a wide variety of target systems. Proposal values ​​make it easier to create the catalog.

All common export formats are operated, e.g. XLS / XLSX, MDB / ACCDB, TXT, CSV or BMECAT (Image).

Quick and on-site produce paper printouts of your data - this is the core competence of MeDaPro Fastpage. Simple price lists through data sheets to complete custom catalog - with just a few clicks can be created printable files. Fastpage is an integral part of the MeDaPro base package and comes with this, it is not available individually.

Translation made easy with the Translation Manager

The translation module integrated in MeDaPro facilitates the translation of single words to large amounts of data in any Unicode language. The connection to the Microsoft Translation Service offers fast translation assistance. In addition, the import and export of translation projects makes it possible to commission a translation agency.
